Dinner with Michelle

Here is a night of redemption.  I felt really bad for leaving Michelle as I left our apartment because of a few misunderstandings.  In the end we all know fighting is not worth it, but I feel that we have to fight to have a better understanding of one another.  There will always be arguments because, there are no exact copies of ourselves.

This picture just makes me laugh, I do not know why, but it just does.  I used this as my profile picture for Facebook since I feel that it shows the sarcasm I love to portray even though some or most individuals do not like it.  Their opinions do no matter to me because in the end, Michelle likes it.

Tabasco for some reason brings back memories in my middle teen years.  I think it has to do with all the oysters I would love to eat!  We all know what that aphrodisiac does to a human.  Just kidding!  I would add a few drops to the cooked oyster and some calamansi.  Calamansi is a little fruit that is really sour and taste way better than lemons in my opinion.

As any good man knows, put a smile on your lady and that leads to a goodnight for the both of us.

School Nights

Here we have another school night trying to get some last minute homework out of the way.  See, even though the assignment my mom is trying to help me translate is not due until a few days before, I still consider it procrastination.

This homework assignment did not go according to plan because now I have to go back on the weekend to see if it was translated.  It is ok though because I got a chance to experiment with a new camera I recently bought and have been wanting and needing for a very long time.

Here is a test shot of my cool backpack.

This is what college does to me, and especially my mother!

Frustration of not knowing how to explain it!  It is ok mom, I will still love you!

Here is my younger brother modeling for GQ, kitchen edition.  Good luck with that brother, lol!

Top picture is just a little view as I was walking to my car.  Speaking of cars, the gas has gone up so high so fast, which ladies know, is not a good thing.

I do not know the exact gas prices outside of San Diego, but I have heard that it is around $5.00+.  The future does not look so good financial wise for me.

After a few hours of stress, I decided to take a little trip to "iHop" for a bite to eat.

Oh look, there is where I pumped gas a few seconds ago.

For noob coffee drinkers like me, we treat coffee as desert.

Back to my man cave, and awaits is man caves lady.

Bonsai Therapy

I believe that we are all attempting to find comfort in everything we do.  For me, I find it through simplicity and nature.  That is why I have a Betta fish, small indoor plant, and a Juniper bonsai tree.  Usually when I am alone, these few things make me forget the troubles of the future.  Sometimes I wish certain people were not born so that they do not double the trouble.

I enjoy the silhouette of the bonsai and the lamp.  I am not a person who is into fancy tricks when it comes to modifying a picture.  I am also not interested into pictures that are only for looks.  I will be blunt with the way I see the world, because there are too many babies trapped inside a adult like body.  Individuals who have experienced life more will see the shout for attention and attempt to be cool through little trends that do not benefit the future.

San Diego Night Walks

There is something very tranquil about looking at life from a broader perspective, for example, escaping the main city.  Me and Michelle decided to take a break from all the cars and lights by taking a little get-away by having a nice little adventure on Cornado Island.

To see the beautiful yet busy city we live in, it is hard to reflect on life when there is a lot of commotion going on, well at least for me.  For example, I feel that I have a lot of self-anxiety with the way I should portray myself at the age of twenty.  After writing more on this, I am starting to realize how much I do not care about what is cool and what is not anymore.  To some, it may be a part of growing up and a part of life, but to me, it is a waste of time.

When wiser and older people tell us to really enjoy the small things in life, I did not know to take it literally.  With all of the work (job, school, and photography)  it is sometimes hard to stop and see the world around us.  Too much random events try to take place into individuals eyes too many times that we sometimes forget who we are or what we want to do with our lives.  This picture of the bicycles is to represent how I am starting to remember how much I am still in love with them.

One of the biggest impacts bicycling has done to me is showing how the world can still be natural and free.  Driving through the city is the same as playing video games.  Drivers try to show who has better items, knowledge, and driving skills to every other driver out there.  Of course there are some that are trying to get home, but for most at my age, it is all ego.

Another angle of the city.  This position of the skyline will always remind me of the first time I went out and started to enjoy what Photography has to offer.  Another pathway to freedom.

*F.Y.I - This was all taken with a Point and Shoot from Canon.  It does not take expensive equipment to go on a nice walk to take some nice night shots if any of the readers want to get involved with night photography!  I am actually thinking about purchasing another "point and shoot" camera that has a lot more to offer for individuals who have more experience on the technical aspects.

Target

Random day at Target.  I love this corporation because of the employees and the products they sell.  Unlike Walmart, Target does not sell extremely cheap china furniture that will only last a few days or even a few seconds.  Their products actually work, and for a good amount of time for any college student like myself.  Since my mother hand-me-downed her Canon Power Shot, I started to go picture crazy.  This camera is exceptional and can any individual can bring out the full potential of this camera by using a mini tripod.

The setting of Target has really changed over the past few years with a nice futuristic and modern look.  The only problem to me is that the store consist of too much red.  It gets annoying fast.

This taylor scale is nice!  I bought it because I am in this little weight watcher group that my co-workers came up with to help us live a healthy year.  Only problem is that we must weigh in every friday, and if anyone gains weight from their previous weigh in, that person has to pay five dollars.  I did not like paying five dollars one day for being overweight, so I needed a way to measure my pounds in order to calculate what needs to be done before the weigh ins.  FYI, it feels good to lose weight!

This is a picture of our future bathroom mat.

Target's fuzzball decorations.

I really want to buy this camera for Michelle and myself since we plan to have a trip to Hawaii sometime this year!  I have seen some pretty cool snapshots with this point and shoot and it gets me excited to see what kind of pictures an individual can really do with some traveling time.  I say this because, most shots are not usually seen in hard weather or terrain.

Nikon COOLPIX teasing me.

This tripod is loads of fun.  I just recently took a few one second shutter pictures of Downtown San Diego's skyline a few nights ago.  I will be sure to post them as time permits.

Cool looking classic automobile.

This mat has memory foam, so that means it remembers me every time I step on it.

Before I used the restroom.

After I used the restroom.  This scale needs some tuning.
